pro why does it take you so long to respond, i mean if it simply IS possible wihout admin rights on the computer you would have responded by now, bLACK hAT the code you are trying is not right in the first place, but even worse it is going to be a lot more difficult on any computer with out admin rights Do you find this valuable?

Well if this code is not right, then that means that i am also doing it wrong. Here is what i have tried.
shutdown -s -m \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. (using the static)
shutdown -s -m \\xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx (using the physical)
shutdown -s -m \\xxxxxxxxxxxx (using the computer name)
I get an Access Denied, just as i had said before. Then i guess i am not doing it right either.

well its obvious the user has to be connected to the network in anyway right?
k so, there are 3 ways of trying as you listed
shutdown -s -m \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. (using the static)
shutdown -s -m \\xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx (using the physical)
shutdown -s -m \\xxxxxxxxxxxx (using the computer name)
also an Access Denied, you dont have full administration rights?
are you an admin?, if so, and this continues i might have to post how to become the system user, then it will sureley work,
Thanks CusTarD

I definately need to know how to become the system user. As i said before, i have full admin rights, however, i am new to system networking. If i dont have the rights, i can get them, i just need to know how. thank you so much for your help. In the end, im trying to get all the computers to shutdown at our office, so im trying to write a batch file that will shut them all down. It will be a great energy saver every night. Most of my computers have access to internet, however some do not because I have purposely blocked those computers from the internet using our routers settings. now those i would not be able to shutdown, correct? thank you for your help.

Also, this is a long shot, but is it possible to remotely turn ON the computers on the network?
